Lis Wiehl was born August 19th, 1962. She was previously a Fox News legal analyst.
She was previously an Assistant Professor of Law in The University of Washington Law School. Legal commentaries have been provided to National Public Radio and Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. She was a regular guest on The O'Reilly Factor, Your World with Neil Cavuto, The Kelly File alongside Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs Tonight, the Imus morning programs, and hosts The Legal Lis radio show. Wiehl, who was born and grew up in Yakima within Washington State, was a graduate of Yakima from West Valley High School. She received a bachelor's degree from Barnard College in 1983, a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of Queensland in 1985 and then the Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1987.
Wiehl worked as a US attorney. She was a legal reporter on NPR's All Things Considered. She was "the deputy chief investigator for Democrats within the House Judiciary Committee at the period of the impeachment of President Clinton." She served as a professor of law and an appointment in the University of Washington School of Law Seattle between 1995 and 2001. Wiehl has been an analyst for Fox News analyst since 2001.
