The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress, and the Congressional Award Board of Directors are the ones to award the Horizon Award special recognition. The Horizon Award is presented to people from the private sector that have helped expand possibilities for all Americans by their personal contribution, and have set exceptional examples for young people through their successes in life. Tom was a wonderful teammate and appreciated being included in such a skilled, knowledgeable group. He worked hard and played hard whenever his Magnum schedule allowed . He was very understanding with us all and we enjoyed the large crowds, which replaced the sparse number of players' friends and spouses at the national tourney matches. ".
